Marketing and Communications Manager
Position Profile
CCA is seeking a creative, marketing professional with experience in copywriting, graphic design, social media platforms, and developing web-site content. The successful candidate will possess 7+ years of marketing experience.
The Marketing Manager will directly report to the Marketing Projects Director and will work in coordination with CCA’s VP of Development, COO and CEO.
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Communication and Content Creation:
- Assist in the development of CCA brand and event branding through all written materials, tools, and guidelines.
- Manage and innovate content for CCA website, e-mail marketing, CCA MyMusicRx digital website and social networking sites.
- Write collateral materials such as fact sheets, newsletter articles, acknowledgement letters, and electronic communication.
- Drive awareness and traffic to online sites and platforms.
- Maintain image and video archives.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations for executive leadership and major events.
Media:
- Research and draft press releases, advisories, briefing papers, and backgrounders.
- Cultivate friends and contacts in the media for potential stories.
- Support the media relations efforts and stay abreast of latest media trends.
- Recruit and deepen relationships with volunteer photographers, videographers and other resources.
Graphic Design:
- Experience and working knowledge of PowerPoint, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and In-Design.
- Develop signing and/or flyers for events.
- Manage contractors and in-kind opportunities.
Social Media Platform and Digital Fundraising:
- Identify strategies for rolling social media channels into overall digital fundraising campaigns.
- Deepen Facebook fan engagement.
- Develop and execute social media strategies i.e. Twitter, YouTube, etc.
Interpersonal Competency Requirements:
- Written Communication: Composes informative and convincing documents. Uses the written language to convey substance and intent with accuracy.
- Communicates Effectively: Uses modern technologies to access and circulate information. Actively seek information from a variety of sources. Provides current and accurate information needed for success.
- Creative: Explores options and develops innovative ideas and solutions. Offers alternatives. Find new ways to look at old issues.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Business; will consider equivalent in industry experience or other certification.
- 7+ years of industry experience in marketing, public relations and communications.
- Excellent organizational, writing, presentation and active communication skills.
- Functional knowledge with various graphics programs within Adobe Creative Suite 5: Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design and Power Point.
- Dynamic, upbeat, creative, detail-oriented, and professional.
Compensation:
- Salary commensurate with experience. Wage range $44.0-$60.0.
- Generous comprehensive benefit package.
