For children diagnosed with serious illness and their families, every moment is precious. At CCA, our goal is to transform as many of those moments as possible — with joy.
Because in the fight against devastating illness, joy is often forgotten. Because joy connects us with the power of hope, comfort, and happiness and helps families and children feel uplifted when their lives have been turned upside down. Because joy is something every child deserves.
CCA understands that donor contributions are the lifeblood of our organization. That’s why we carefully manage our financial resources for maximum positive impact.
This thoughtful stewardship has earned us a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency for the fourth consecutive year. Only 7% of charities have earned this consecutive “exceptional” rating, which means that you can give to CCA with confidence.
We’re also proud to have been the first NW Division nonprofit to be recognized as an Accredited Charity with the Better Business Bureau. Our organization has been thoroughly evaluated and successfully met all 20 of the BBB Standards of Charity Accountability.
The Children’s Cancer Association receives no federal or state funds. Every dollar received by CCA comes from individual donors, corporate support and foundation grants. For each dollar spent in FY14, 81 cents went directly to our programs.
