Central Catholic Powder Puff 2012

May 14-18, 2012 – Central Catholic's Harrington Field: Get ready to watch ladies of Central Catholic rock the field in a 3-day powder puff football event to benefit CCA. The games as well as fun activities will take place during the lunch hour for Central Catholic students and staff. Make sure to come out and support local students and CCA!

Tualatin Elementary Coin Drive

May 15-June 1, 2012 – Tualatin Elementary: Time to clean out your pockets, drawers and piggy banks! The kiddos of Tualatin Elementary are at it again, hoping raise more than $1,500, surpassing their coin drive total from last year. Each class is having a competition and encouraging their family and friends to clean out their piggy banks to be the winning class. Drop off your coins at the office to be a part of the fun!

CCA's "Celebration of Courage"

Wednesday, May 23, 2012 – OMSI, Portland, OR: CCA is taking a moment to honor our 2012 Community Heroes. The candidates are nominated by local hospital staff and families, then a selection committee chooses the final 25 heroes. This process leads us to the unveiling of the new "Wall of Courage" which will travel around Oregon to inspire others to get involved and help bring JoyRx to local kiddos and their families. Family, friends, and community leaders will be in attendance for this exciting and inspirational celebration.

Energy Events Rum Rum

Sunday May 27, 2012 – Tualatin Commons, Tualatin, OR: Take a run through the ‘tropics’ of Portland and afterwards enjoy a Caribbean themed bash, with refreshing mojitos and a beer garden; all while supporting CCA! Come out and be a part of the 2012 Rum Run, hosted by Energy Events. Be sure to register early as the race caps at 1500. Mr. Evergreen Pageant

May 30, 2012 – Evergreen High School Auditorium: The Evergreen High School Sophomore Class Council is sponsoring the 4^th Annual Mr. Evergreen MALE pageant on May 30, 2012. Eight junior class boys will be competing in the areas of talent, formal wear, spirit as well as a question and answer interview hoping to win the crown and title of Mr. Evergreen for the 2012-2013 school year. Luke's Lego-Cy Carnival

Friday, June 1, 2012 – King's Way Christian School, Vancouver, WA: Help Luke Jensen’s family celebrate his legacy with a carnival at King’s Way Christian School gym. Backspace Movie Premier

Saturday, October 6, 2012 – Hollywood Theater, Portland, OR: Join Smam! Productions for the premiere of the animated film Backspace at the Hollywood Theatre. When Backspace is completed, the film will be submitted to film festivals throughout the summer with October 6, 2012 being the big premiere here in Portland! The premiere will also have a live script reading with local actors and a chance to meet and greet the creators. All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards bringing JoyRx to seriously ill children through CCA’s programs.

CCA Challenge - Ongoing

Hunter Melahn Racing - IFK Region 6 NW Gold Cup Rotax Karting - Ongoing

April - September, 2012 - Various Locations: Hunter Melahn, a local go-kart racer will be traveling the regional go kart racing series and fundraising for CCA. He is hoping inspire people twice his age to help kiddos battling cancer by showing his CCA support on his kart. GO HUNTER!

March - July, 2012 - Nation-wide: HitchSource.com is sponsoring the “Gnome on the Range” Contest, a traveling adventure for Gnomes. As the Gnomes travel with individuals, couples and families Mar 8th-July 15th, the travelers will share stories, images and videos from the road as they help fundraise for CCA.
