JoyRx Music is available nationally to pediatric healthcare sites virtually and in-person, depending on existing technology, location, capacity, and resources.

What JoyRx Music Provides  

Our programming is designed within an Arts in Health scope of practice, employs highly trained staff musicians, and aims to:

Normalize the medical environment | Alleviate stress and anxiety | Combat isolation and loneliness | Increase patient wellbeing during hospitalization, treatment, and care.

We currently offer three forms of delivery with JoyRx Music:  

  • Currently only offered in Portland, Austin, and New York City.

    Providing in-room engagements or supporting environmental music in a location within the facility, we deliver music that best suits a child’s emotional place, desired mood, and engagement level.  

    • Highly trained JoyRx Music Specialists travel within the healthcare facility to provide patients with personalized, curated music experiences  

    • Provides variety to children whether they request a song, sing with the musicians, participate in music lessons, or borrow an instrument to play along 

    • JoyRx Music Specialists are staff members who have undergone background checks, auditions, interviews, and training with JoyRx 

  • With a moment of connection across the digital divide, we partner with healthcare staff to integrate live music programming into existing entertainment systems or JoyRx-provided technology, whether that be…

    • Take a JoyRx Music Digital Live Specialist to patients' bedside using a tablet for individualized, kid-directed music sessions. Request a favorite song, sing along, dance, have a jam session, learn an instrument, or just sit back and relax.

    • Broadcast exclusive livestream concerts to your facility via CCTV or other methods. Music Specialists engage patients in interactive musical games such as song requests, SINGO (musical BINGO), musical mad libs, and more

    • JoyRx Music Digital Live Specialists are staff members who have undergone background checks, auditions, interviews, and training with JoyRx located in a variety of time zones

  • JoyRx meets kids wherever they are by partnering with healthcare staff to integrate music into their existing entertainment systems, broadcasting on-demand offerings for children to access.  

    • JoyRx creates original, prerecorded musical content available to healthcare facilities for broadcast via CCTV or other patient platforms. 

    • Curated, child-friendly music performances by JoyRx Music Specialists, popular artists, at music festivals, and more

    • Preview On-Demand content on our YouTube channels. JoyRx Kids, for under age 13, is on YouTube and YouTube Kids. JoyRx Music, for age 13+, is on YouTube.

JoyRx Programs are a customized,
no-cost experience, tailored to fit the healthcare facility’s patient population, staffing, operations, technology, and support needs. Additionally, programming is evaluated for its positive impact and quality to ensure patient safety.
