Charley Crockett to Perform at the Sixth Annual Live From the Heart Benefit for Children’s Cancer Association’s JoyRx Music Program in Austin

Event supports free music programs for seriously ill and hospitalized children.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- Austin, TX – [December 10, 2025] – Children’s Cancer

Association is delighted to announce that Charley Crockett will take the stage as the headliner for the sixth annual Live from the Heart benefit concert—an evening of music and community impact—on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Brazos Hall in Austin, TX. This annual benefit concert supports the organization’s free JoyRx Music programs, which create moments of connection and emotional well-being for children facing cancer and other serious illnesses.

“Street busker turned critically acclaimed singer-songwriter turned actual country star” (Rolling Stone), Charley Crockett has never been someone who asked permission to take a shot at his dreams. Instead, the GRAMMY® Award-nominated Texas-born maverick defied the odds at every turn, tapping into a rebellious strain of country, rising from an open guitar case on a Louisiana sidewalk to selling out some of the world’s most renowned venues. Crockett has paved a singular path out of Texas, taking his home state wherever he goes and bringing his signature “Gulf & Western” sound to the world. Crockett and his music have received praise from The New Yorker, The New York Times, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and Variety, and garnered hundreds of millions of streams.

Children’s Cancer Association’s Live From the Heart gala will be filled with inspiration from JoyRx-served families and program elements that underscore the impact of the non-profit, which offers free pediatric enrichment services at the bedsides of seriously ill children and teens. All proceeds with benefit JoyRx programs, including the company’s flagship JoyRx Music program, which is active in nine program sites in Texas. Guests will enjoy an evening of cocktails, dinner, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting JoyRx’s mission.

“Charley Crockett’s music is inspiring, authentic, and honest – all qualities that we strive to bring to every child we serve through JoyRx programs,” says Jack Pipkin, CEO of Children’s Cancer Association. “We are inspired by his artistry and inspired that we get to celebrate together while gathering our Austin community in support of JoyRx programs. Music has an ability to uplift and connect us all – that’s what this is all about.”
